Servo motor debugging step tutorial
- Oct 13, 2017 -

Servo motor refers to the servo system in the control of mechanical components of the engine, is a supplementary motor indirect transmission. Servo motor can control speed, position accuracy is very accurate, the voltage signal can be converted into torque and speed to drive the control object. Servo motor rotor speed is controlled by the input signal, and can quickly respond, in the automatic control system, used as an actuator, and has a small electromechanical time constant, high linearity, starting voltage and other characteristics, the received electrical signal Converted to angular displacement or angular velocity output on the motor shaft.

Users in the selection, the installation of the use of how to debug the servo motor, Xing Fengyuan electromechanical for everyone to provide the following tutorial:

(1) Initialize the parameter - On the control card: Select the control mode; clear the PID parameter; let the control card power on when the default enable signal is turned off; this state is saved to ensure that the control card is powered again status.

On the servo motor: set the control mode; set to enable the external control; encoder signal output gear ratio; set the control signal and the motor speed ratio. In general, it is recommended that the maximum design speed in the servo operation corresponds to a 9V control voltage. For example, Panasonic is set to 1V voltage corresponding to the speed, the factory value of 500, if you are only ready to let the motor work in 1000 rpm, then set this parameter to 111.

(B) wiring - the control card power, connect the control card and the signal line between the servo. The following lines must be connected: the control card of the analog output line, enable the signal line, the servo output of the encoder signal line. Check the wiring without error after the motor and control card (and PC) are powered up. At this point the motor should not move, and can be easily rotated with external force, if not the case, check the enable signal settings and wiring. Rotate the motor with an external force to check if the control card can correctly detect the change of the motor position. Otherwise check the wiring and setting of the encoder signal

(C) the test direction - for a closed-loop control system, if the feedback signal direction is not correct, the consequences must be disastrous. Open the servo enable signal via the control card. This is the servo should be a lower speed of rotation, which is the legendary "zero drift". General control card will have to suppress zero drift of the instructions or parameters. Use this command or parameter to see if the motor speed and direction can be controlled by this command (parameter). If you can not control, check the analog wiring and control mode parameter settings. A positive number is given, the motor forwards, the encoder count increases; gives a negative number, the motor reverses, and the encoder count decreases. If the motor is loaded with a limited stroke, do not use this method. Do not try to give too much voltage, recommended below 1V. If the direction is inconsistent, you can modify the control card or motor parameters to make it consistent.
