What is the motor stator and rotor? What is the role of stator and rotor?
- Mar 28, 2018 -

The general motor is mainly composed of two parts: the fixed part is called the stator, and the rotating part is called the rotor. There are also end caps, fans, housings, housings, junction boxes, and more.

The role of the stator is to produce a magnetic field and mechanical support for the motor. The stator of the motor is composed of stator core, stator winding and frame. The stator windings are embedded in the stator core and generate an induced electromotive force when the current flows through the stator core to achieve electrical energy conversion. The main function of the stand is to fix and support the stator core. When the motor is running, the heat generated due to internal losses is transmitted to the base through the iron core, and is then radiated from the surface of the base to the ambient air. In order to increase the heat dissipation area, the motor is generally designed as a heat dissipation sheet on the outer surface of the base.

The rotor of the motor consists of a rotor core, a rotor winding and a shaft. The rotor core is also part of the magnetic circuit of the motor. The role of the rotor winding is to induce electromotive force, which produces electromagnetic torque through the current. The shaft is the main component that supports the weight of the rotor, transmits torque, and outputs mechanical power.
