The industrial robot body is an integration based on motion control, and the robot production line is secondarily integrated. Motion control system is mainly composed of motion controller, actuator (such as servo system) and transmission (toothed belt or reducer), etc. The basis of robotics is motion control. Motion control technology has gone from DC to AC, from open loop to closed loop, from analog to digital, to a PC based servo control network system.

Japanese brand market share of nearly 50%, mainly in the mid-market; Europe and the United States accounted for 24% of the brand, providing a total solution to occupy the high-end market; Taiwanese brand positioning among Japanese and local brands, accounting for 10%; local brand positioning low End market, market share increased from 10% in 2007 to 18%. However, the market share between individual brands is closer and the competition in the industry is fiercer.

Motion controllers are mainly divided into PC-based, PLC-based, embedded controllers and CNCs (numerical control systems). From the perspective of product standardization, the components of motion control system have the highest degree of standardization, followed by the industrial robot body and the lowest standardization of the robot production line. The higher degree of standardization of the products, the stronger the ability to turn around, but the performance of products and services need to obtain the approval of downstream system integrators. At present, domestic brands are still hard to get recognized by many integrators, and the "high turnover rate" mode can not be selected for the business model. Therefore, the system integration of the domestic brand value chain is indispensable. The foundation of industrial robotics is motion control, so we think brands that have the core technology in motion control are more competitive.
